Michelle has been an Independent Educational Consultant (IEC) since 2011. Before founding
Admit You to College in 2017, Michelle was an associate IEC with Off 2 College Now. Michelle
graduated cum laude from California Lutheran University with a degree in Liberal Arts and
English. She also has a background in teaching.

Michelle is a professional member of IECA (the Independent Educational Consultants
Association), HECA (the Higher Educational Consultants Association), NACAC (the National
Association for College Admission Counseling), and WACAC (the Western Association for
College Admission Counseling). She regularly attends professional conferences and travels
extensively throughout the United States touring colleges to stay current on college admission
trends. She also partners with other educational consultants to provide college admission and
financial aid webinars.

Michelle loves working with her students and celebrating their success in the college admission
process and beyond. She recognizes that each student requires an individualized approach and
meets with students one-on-one. She assists students with career and major planning, college list
development, admission strategies, college essays and applications, and scholarships. Michelle
believes that creating a personal relationship with students and parents allows her to support
students in finding colleges suited to their diverse interests and goals. She particularly enjoys
helping students brainstorm essay ideas that effectively communicate their unique stories. In
addition, Michelle provides students with the expertise and tools to explore their options,
articulate their dreams, and find their path.

Michelle understands that the college admission process is stressful for students and parents,
which is why she provides families with actionable guidance and tasks. Students and parents
receive an Application Plan that eliminates confusion by listing college application dates,
deadlines, essay requirements, and additional required materials. Michelle’s organization and
attention to detail assure parents that their student is completing all necessary tasks. As the
intermediary between parents and students, Michelle reduces the stress and anxiety associated
with submitting college applications.

Michelle loves baseball and is a big Dodger fan. She also enjoys reading, playing card games,
and traveling. Michelle has visited 40 US states and only has ten left before reaching her bucket
list goal.
